Cresswell Barber Co. Successfully Re-Opens

As a business, lockdown saw our team itching to reach for the scissors once again.

So when our Shirley barbershop re-opened on Saturday, July 4, we were happy to welcome our customers back with socially-distant open arms. Our team made sure to abide by the latest Government Guidelines as we got used to the new normal.

After setting out our 7-Step Opening Guidelines, we were in a strong position to welcome our customers back in a safe and organised manner. With these in place, Cresswell Barber Co. was able to successfully re-open, saving men across Southampton from some quite awful DIY-haircuts!

Goodbye Dodgy Haircuts

No longer will the Shirley community be plagued with bad haircuts that’d been done at home. As customers arrived at the barbershop, they were provided with a face mask and made to sanitise. With one client to each barber carried out, this allowed us to provide the best and safest experience possible.

Contactless Payments

As well as making sure our Southampton barbershop was set out in a safe way, we also upgraded the way our customers can pay! Our central till point has been removed, allowing for card-only payments. This was carried out successfully whilst our customers were in the chair, allowing for not only easier pay but reducing the spread of infection.

Customers visiting Cresswell Barber Co. will now be able to pay with Apple Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay. Contactless cards are also accepted. Cash, however, is not. Our loyal Southampton customers also welcomed our new temporary surcharge, allowing us to offer all the necessary PPE for the barbershop. Charges of £3 per adult and £2 per child are temporarily in-force.

Despite all the uncertainty surrounding our relaunch, we’d like to thank our customers for their patience in these uncertain times. Without your patience, booking appointments or adhering to the new safety measures in our barbershop, the re-launch would not have been successful. We hope that no matter what the future holds, our barbershop can continue to make the Shirley and Southampton community continue to look its best!

We are currently able to do Beard Trims, but unable to offer Hot Towel Wet Shaving, refreshments or allow customers to use our toilet.

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please cancel your appointment and do not visit the barber shop. It seems like second nature these days to notice the red flags of the disease but it would be irresponsible not to reiterate the process that you must stay home if you display them. Please give our team as much notice as possible with any cancellation, otherwise, you may still be charged. Our 24-hour cancellation period still stands as it is effectively business as usual.
